Came for pike got a fat cat

Started off with two jacks about 5 lbs then at mid day the indicator dropped on my left hand rod and there was a very small amount of tension felt on it, I thought it was a pike turning the ledgered lamphrey bait, the line began to pull tight so I struck, this awoke the kraken. For the first couple of minutes I thought it was the pike of my dreams....in a shallow part of the lake a 20/25 minute tussle resulted in this 39 lbs 4 oz catfish. A new PB for me.
